Nashville, TN – June 8, 2025 – Rising country music artist Conner Smith, best known for his breakout hit “I Hate Alabama,” was involved in a tragic traffic incident on Sunday that resulted in the death of a 77-year-old pedestrian.
According to official statements from the Metro Nashville Police Department, the 24-year-old singer was driving a Chevrolet Silverado when he struck Dorothy Dobbins, a local resident, who was crossing the street legally at a marked crosswalk.
Investigation Ongoing – No Charges Filed
Authorities have confirmed that impairment was not a factor, and Smith has been fully cooperative throughout the investigation. At this time, no charges have been filed, but the case remains under review.
