Alyvia Alyn Lind: The Young Star Who Played Dolly Parton In Coat of Many Colors
When NBC premiered Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors in December 2015, millions of viewers were introduced to a young actress named Alyvia Alyn Lind. She portrayed the legendary Dolly Parton as a child, capturing hearts with her emotional and sincere performance. The film was inspired by Parton’s autobiographical song of the same name.
Due to the movie’s popularity, NBC released a sequel in 2016 titled Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love. Once again, Alyvia starred as young Dolly, while Jennifer Nettles played her mother Avie Lee and Ricky Schroder portrayed her father Robert Lee.
