Reba Headlines Inaugural Music City Rodeo and Delivers Historic Performance with Lainey Wilson and Miranda Lambert
Nashville’s legendary Bridgestone Arena hosted the first-ever Music City Rodeo from May 29–31, 2025, attracting more than 30,000 fans across three nights.
This PRCA-sanctioned event marked a new chapter in the city’s rich musical and rodeo tradition—one that culminated in an unforgettable performance by Reba McEntire.
Reba McEntire Brings Country Tradition Full Circle
It was a fitting headliner for night one of the rodeo. After all, Reba McEntire’s own rise to fame began at a rodeo in 1974, when she was discovered singing the national anthem at the National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City. Since then, she has become one of country music’s most beloved performers and a fixture at events like RodeoHouston.
Fans in attendance were treated to a 90-minute set featuring Reba’s biggest hits, from “Fancy” to “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia.”
A Surprise Collaboration That Brought the House Down
But the true highlight of the evening came when Reba invited fellow country stars Miranda Lambert and Lainey Wilson to join her on stage. Together, the powerhouse trio performed their hit “Trailblazer,” which debuted at the 2025 ACM Awards and quickly became a viral sensation.
The crowd erupted as the three generations of country queens delivered a powerful, harmony-rich rendition of the song—an anthem dedicated to the women who paved the way in country music, including Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, and Patsy Cline.
