Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) stood up to Tom King (James Chase) in the aftermath of telling him that she’s lost their baby in Emmerdale.

This week, Belle secretly attended an appointment across town to begin the process of having an abortion.

The beloved face had to plan strategically in order to prevent Tom from finding out. She asked Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) to take Piper the dog for a walk in the woods and then slipped her phone in Esther’s pram, so Tom would check the tracker and believe she was in the countryside.

When Belle returned home, Tom had already made his way to the woods to try and find her. Fortunately, she arrived just in time and made out that Amelia had asked to spend time with her.

Back at home, as Belle reflected on her day, she remained unaware her parking ticket from the hospital was sitting on the floor of Tom’s car.

In Friday’s (June 21) episode of the ITV soap, Belle had to develop another plan so she could finish the medication for the abortion, and stop Tom believing the pregnancy was continuing.

As Tom headed to work, Belle made her way to the hospital again.

In the car, as Belle took another tablet, she continuously checked her watch and the parking ticket, knowing the timings surrounding her trip would be imperative.

After calling Tom, Belle returned home and told him she started bleeding shortly after he left for work, went to the hospital and was told she had experienced a miscarriage.

As Tom’s anger towards the situation grew, he tried to tell Belle the hospital staff were being negligent because they didn’t contact him when she got there.

Terrified he would eventually get to the truth, Belle tried to calm Tom down.

A little while later, as Tom’s anger subsided, he had the audacity to tell Belle they could try for another baby once she’s ready.

Belle was shocked at Tom’s comments and said she cannot process this event right now, let alone the prospect of carrying another baby.

Heading out with Piper, we saw Tom get in the car.
