While Alden Richards did not give an outright answer when asked if he’s courting Kathryn Bernardo, he said their friendship is “deep and special” and that the actress knows his “feelings.”

Richards spoke about this during his guesting on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Wednesday, Nov. 13, for the promotion of his and Bernardo’s movie “Hello, Love, Again.”

“Nanliligaw ka ba kay (Are you courting) Kathryn Bernardo?” show host Abunda asked, with the actor initially trying to laugh it off.

Richards then answered, “‘Yung meron po kami ni Kath ngayon (What Kath and I have now), I should say [is] really deep.”

“Since I got the chance to really know her now personally, ang dami ko pong nadi-discover sa kanya (I discovered a lot about her)—our similarities and differences in how we view life,” he continued.

Richards further underscored that he appreciates Bernardo for opening up to him and for welcoming him into her life. He also cherished meeting the actress’ family, saying they treated him warmly.

Abunda then asked Richards if he already informed Bernardo of his “intention as a friend,” and the actor answered affirmatively.

“I think she has all the time in the world now that she has been able to try new things,” he added.

Abunda made a follow-up question and said, “Does she know your feelings?”

“I think so po,” Richards replied. “The friendship po that we have right now is deep and special.”

Concluding the interview, Abunda asked Richards whether Bernardo was in his heart or mind at that moment.

“Syempre po, nasa pareho,” the actor said. (Of course, she’s in both my mind and heart.)
